The power metal band STARCHILD, founded in 2014 by Sandro Giampietro, is set to full
steam ahead.
They made their highly impressive return to the power metal scene in 2022 with their third
album BATTLE OF ETERNITY. Given the strong positive response from fans and press alike,
a successor was needed as soon as possible.
Twelve hits are now waiting in the wings, recorded by Sandro Giampietro (vocals/guitar),
Tom Nendza (bass) and Andi Pique (keyboards). Joining them in studio on drums is PRIMAL
FEAR, THE UNITY, ROCK MEETS CLASSIC drummer Michael Ehré, who also appeared on
their self-titled debut album. In the meantime, Andreas 'Schüttie' Schütte is an absolute
master on the skins.
This new album MAGIC WELL does not shy away from exploring unchartered musical
terrain, though STARCHILD’S trademark sound shines through. Melodic vocals, virtuoso
guitars, grooving rhythm and perfectly placed keys.
Overall, their musical bandwidth has increased and they have an acoustic surprise or two up
their sleeve. Such as an emotional ballad which Sandro has dedicated to his late friend. The
song, however, always remains the central focus. The band are raring to go and can’t wait to
present the album live. The first shows are already booked for the end of the year.
