LIMITED EDITION VINYL FROM SUN RECORDS
TWO SIGNATURE TRACKS FROM SONNY BURGESS
Some of the wildest records cut on Sam Phillips’ Sun label bear the legend Sonny Burgess.
Both sides of his single from 1956 have been described by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame as:
"among the most raucous, energy-filled recordings released during the first flowering of rock
and roll.'
Continuing their almost 50-year relationship, Charly Records and Sun Records are issuing
‘Red Headed Woman’ as a facsimile edition of the original single released in August 1956,
replicating the original Sun labels and record bag. Both sides, newly remastered from the
original Sun master tapes, have been taken from the critically-acclaimed compilation 10-
inch LP ‘Sonny's Back In Town’ (SUNSCLP1285) Mojo magazine’s "Reissue Of The Month".
