Some musicians retreat to a cabin in the woods to write a new album, and others try on a new
city. For Julian Karlsson, who makes music as Selmer, he didn't have to go far to write his debut
album: his bathroom. Selmer specifically relies on his shower as a space to sort through his thoughts
which, inevitably, transform into melodies. The Oslo-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist captured
his mid-bathing introspections and expanded them into the eight songs that make up Body Wash, his
debut album, out January 19th via Norwegian indie pop powerhouse 777 Music (boy pablo, FUR).
The record features collaborations with Paul Cherry (Eyedress, Cuco, Temporex), Whose
Rules (Dev Lemons, Ralph Castelli), and Jez_ebel. Stand-alone singles have done millions of
streams and been backed by key indie editorial at Spotify, Apple +.
