Oscar-winner and multiple Grammy Award-winner PAUL MCCARTNEY is best known for his
performances with the band The Beatles, for which he co-wrote most of the songs with John
Lennon. The composer partnership Lennon & McCartney are considered to be the most
successful songwriters in the history of music. McCartney's song Yesterday is the most
played pop song of all times. After the end of the Beatles, Paul McCartney started a
successful solo career in 1970. He has been working since the 1980s as a solo artist and
increasingly dedicates himself to other musical areas. The 2 CD set "Live On Air" includes
two concerts from 1990 and 1993 which have now reached the "Public Broadcasts" zone and
are available on disc for the first time.
