As Cincinnati's 1st major rap group, rappers Dante, Main-Flo and DJ/producer Jahson have emancipated themselves from the shackles of their conservative city. Doom, the trio's 15-cut Blunt Recordings debut, should be considered apocalyptic music. Lyrically Mood shuns trendy hip hop topics like fashion, fancy cars, foxy females and violence, and instead opts to weave their narratives around more positive and educational pursuits. They have performed with Nas, KRS-1, the Fugees, Mad Lion, etc., and will be touring throughout the country this fall. |
