This is the debut album from JOE LALLY, perhaps best known for his tirelessly inventive bass work in the legendary punk band FUGAZI, In 2003 the members of Fugazi decided to take an indefinite hiatus from recording and performing, Since that time Joe has continued to write and perform both solo material and collaborations with various musicians and friends. 'There to Here' was recorded both at inner ear studios by IAN MACKAYE and DON ZIENTARA and at the dischord house by Ian MacKaye, The album features Lally's spare and direct bass compositions with contributions from JASON KOURKOUNIS (HOT SNAKES, DELTA 72, etc.), JERRY BUSHER (FRENCH TOAST), DANNY FRANKEL (KD LANG), Eddie Janney (RITES OF SPRING, ONE LAST WISH), GUY PICCIOTTO (Fugazi), Ian Mackaye (THE EVENS, Fugazi), AMY FARINA (The Evens), SCOTT (WINO) WEINRICH (SPIRIT CARAVAN, HIDDEN HAND) and ANTONIA TRICARICO.
