Alongside Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison was Janis Joplin one of the central symbols of the
hippie era and hippie culture. All three shaped a lifestyle that was later described as 'Sex,
Drugs and Rock'n'Roll" and "Live fast, love hard, die young". Due to her early death, she
