Sydney's Hard-Ons, now in their 30th year as an operational unit, are Australian rock & roll legends, With their mix of punk, hardcore, metal and power-pop, high-energy live shows and distinctly Australian sense of humour, they gave the Australian independent music scene a massive kick in the backside throughout the latter half of the 1980s, earning them fans (some of them famous, such as Henry Rollins, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Dave Grohl) worldwide.
Rocket is now the Australian distributor for the Citadel label, and we proudly present the latest in the label's reissues of the band's classic recordings of yore, this deluxe 2CD set which compiles the band's album Yummy! from 1991, their Dateless Dudes Club EP as well as their rare and infamous collaboration with Henry Rollins, 'Let There Be Rock' (yes, the AC/DC track), There's also a second disc of demos from these recordings, live tracks and more, All of this has been unavailable for a long time - over 20 years, in fact - and this fully remastered edition is the one to get, These recordings show the band when their popularity was beginning to nudge the mainstream, and they still sound awesome to this day.
It all comes housed in a handsome six-panel digipak with an informative booklet, and there's a whopping 66 tracks in total, The band are touring the land over the next month, celebrating 30 years together, so expect some publicity surrounding the band and its release.
In due course, we will list the other Hard-Ons titles on Citadel, as well as others by the likes of Died Pretty and the New Christs in its rich catalogue of classic Australian rock & roll.
