Rising singer Cleo Sol has returned with her new project titled Mother, produced by her longtime collaborator Inflo.
The 12-track offering, which includes a few hidden tracks, was inspired by Sol's journey into motherhood.
"I became a mother this year, and it's been the most transformative, uplifting, heart melting, strength giving experience thus far that led me to write this album," Sol wrote in an Instagram post.
Sol mentioned that she had plans to take a break from music but destiny said otherwise. "God's got jokes and was like, 'Now you guys create and have fun,' so we did," she added. "Mother was born, and truly it was a beautiful, growing experience".
The British singer also shared the process of creating the album. "We worked with a small team of hand picked individuals, who helped make this music so special and whose intentions were aligned with the honesty that I was looking for and who trusted the vision".
Mother follows Sol's album, Rose in the Dark, which was among Rated R&B's Best R&B Albums of 2020.
Sol was listed as one of Rated R&B's artists to watch in 2021.
