After the crossover success of their recent 'Body Language' (together with M.A.N.D.Y) and 'Mandarine Girl' singles & a summer spent touring with the likes of Mylo and Royksopp blowing festival audiences all over Europe away with their live performances, Booka Shade deliver their new album 'Movements',the follow up to 2004's critically acclaimed debut album 'Memento', In marked difference to 'Memento', 'Movements' shows a lighter side to Booka Shade, inspired by time spent in Spain and Ibiza last summer, Album highlights include opener 'Night Falls', the very limited taster single for the album sees Booka Shade work a trade mark spine-tingling riff over scuffled, hazy beats. The first single from the album 'In White Rooms',climaxes with an epic hook that's as jaw-droppingly beautiful as anything Booka Shade have released. 'At The Window' is a cinematic DJ Shadow style masterpiece while 'Lost High' recalls Boards of Canada and Sigur Ros at their epic best. 'Pong Pang' (a future single) will be unavoidable on the terraces and beyond this summer, The Detroit electro influences inherent in Booka Shade's work come to the surface on 'Take A Ride', which journeys to the darkest recesses of Motor City to lay down a starkly foreboding, futuristic soundtrack. 'Body Language' their massive collaboration with M.A.N.D.Y, has been completely re-recorded for 2006, Movement exclusively contains this new version , Booka Shade also revisit 'Mandarine Girl', giving it an extra dose of spiky percussion which is in tune with the live version of the track.
