Bill MacKay's a guitar picker, a multi-instumentalist and a veteran of Chicago collaborations including Darts & Arrows and duos with Rob Frye (Bitchin Bajas), Sam Wagstaff (The Cairo Gang), Frank Rosaly and Ryley Walker, among many others. Esker is his second proper solo album, a collection of peace-inducing instrumental compositions that highlight Bill's fluidity with the glass slide.
