Penned by blind songwriter Jack Moran, Henson Cargill's massive (and controversial) 1967/1968 hit 'Skip A Rope' changed the face of Nashville Country Music overnight, bringing the generation gap and racial tension to the swinging mainstream. Moran was a Penn State graduate and sometimes social worker with a striking song writing gift and sturdy, compelling voice. His remarkable (and only) LP is rescued here from undeserved obscurity. Cut across 1969 and 1970 (and released in June of 1970) 'As I See It' presented a trove of 'message-orientated' songs, surreal trucker novelties, hayseed-weepers, retooled folk-pop hits and Moran's own distinctive takes on his songwriter hits 'Skip A Rope' and 'None Of My Business'. 'Teenage Kids Of Today' was a further exploration of generational politics and hypocrisy, 'Move Over Old Man' a tender ode to the elderly and 'Big Brother Is Watchin' You' an entertaining libertarian dialogue. This dynamic album is remastered from the original stereo master tapes and features additional rare 45rpm only cuts and single versions. First ever reissue of this remarkable, but essentially forgotten, 1970 album!Remastered 2016 from the original master tapes in stereo, with rare 45rpm only cuts and mono/single versions!Limited Edition Release!
