2005 STUDIO ALBUM FROM ACCLAIMED NORWEGIAN POST-PROGRESSIVE ART ROCKERS NOW ON VINYL FOR THE FIRST TIME Formed in Oslo in 1996 by childhood friends Jon-Arne Vilbo and Thomas Andersen along with Jan-Henrik Ohme (laterjoined by Mikael Kr?mer, Lars Erik Asp and Kristian Torp), Gazpacho have honed their unique sound over a string of critically acclaimed albums and numerous tours, including several with long-time supporters Marillion. Gazpacho's third album 'Firebird', originally released in 2005 through Marillion's Racket Records label, saw the band stay faithful to melancholy-filled artistic music with it's somewhat serious themes. The support of Marillion also led to the collaboration with guitarist Steve Rothery who plays a solo on the track 'Do You Know What You Are Saying?'. Other guest appearances on the album came in the form of fans who had been encouraged to send in sound samples which the band would use. Among the unusual instruments featured on the album are maracas, a comb and a Leopard II battle tank. 'Firebird' is being released via Kscope for the first time on vinyl and will be presented as a double LP on 180g black vinyl with a 4th side artwork etching in a gatefold sleeve. Gazpacho is currently enjoying the success from new studio album 'Molok'.
