Two original Cameo albums on one CD - released in 1962 and 1963. Released in glorious mono. Dee de Sharp became America's first black female star, scoring five top-ten hits and four of those are featured in this package: 'Slow Twistin', 'Mashed Potato Time', 'Gravy (For My Mashed Potatoes' and 'Do the Bird'. Her fame spread after a series of appearances on Dick Clark's American Bandstand and her career received a later boost when she surfaced as a member of the Philadelphia International All Stars.
